It should condition and defrizz your hair.

Do that first, and then see where you want to go next.

And ........... just because your henna is from the local grocers
doesn't mean its worth crap. Really. Some of the worst henna I've
ever gotten has been from Indian grocers. And some of the people most
ignorant about henna I've ever met have been from India. Really.
When I work Indian weddings I often come home just stunned at the
misinformation some people have ... and don't know they have.
