: I've finally managed to locate a potential source of henna in
Sweden.
: The company selling it (www.crearome.se) seems to be selling various
: products for making your own beauty products to both customers and
: resellers, and they have both a henna they claim is entirely pure
and
: some pre-made mixes. These are mostly herbal (they have one which is
: primarily Cassia Italica, and one which is pure Indigo) judging by
the
: thorough-looking list of ingredients, although the red hues contain
: Picramicacid Sodiumsalt. Would this be a metallic salt, or something
: else?

Eeee, metallic salt! Sodium is a metal, and the fact that salt is in
the word itself...be very careful.

:
: The mixes, btw, are of a brand called Henné from a company called
: Aboca, which possibly may be the source of the pure henna too.
Anyone
: heard of it before? Seems to be Italian, so I presume they must
import
: the henna from somewhere else themselves.
:
: Anyway, I contacted them and asked how often they import the pure
: henna, and they said that they get new stock four times a year. Does
: that suggest a decent freshness for the henna?
:
: Of course, their minimum order would mean having to buy 4 kilos of
: henna, which I imagine would go bad before I could use it up even
if I
: do stick it into the fridge. Or how long does it keep in the fridge?

No clue on the freshness if it's imported 4 times a year, but put the
powder in the freezer--it'll keep atleast a year in there.
