I'd have to say steer clear of the food-grade ones you get at Middle
Eastern stores, though Jane seems to be ok with them. They really
won't be the same quality as aromatherapy grade (and if you get those,
make sure they're real floral waters/hydrosols/hydrolats/aromatic
waters produced by distillation, as opposed to the practice of mixing
a few drops of essential oil with water, which is not the same thing
at all).

I don't use undiluted hydrosols for a final rinse, as the aromatherapy
grade ones are a bit pricey to be doing that with. However, I often
add a capful or two into my herbal vinegar rinse (1 tsp cider vinegar,
couple of herb teabags e.g. chamomile and horsetail, add boiling water
and a dozen drops total of essential oils, e.g. rosemary and lemon).
What I particularly like is to have a spray bottle, in a very pretty
blue glass, filled with a hydrosol, and spray that onto my hair as and
when it needs it. Rosemary hydrosol is the bee's knees. It smells
lovely, and it's fantastic for hair. I use it for the scent, to
flatten down frizz, and also if my hair's needing TLC or I've got a
bit of dandruff.

Have a google for hydrosols, there should be interesting info out there.
