The differences are usually where they are from. For example,
Yemen/Moroccan/Khamsa are stringier, which helps in body art, but
doesn't really matter for your hair. Henna for hair (from a trusted
supplier) means it may not be as finely sifted, or it's from an
older crop (which is still fresh, just not as fresh as the newest
crop just in) because, again, it's not as important for hair as it
would be for skin application.
Check out the henna page forum for more discussion on henna, from a
body-art standpoint. Everyone has their preferred kinds, but you can
always be assured of good stuff from the suppliers both here and on
hennapage.com
