Use ground cloves and mix them in with the henna powder if you want to use them inyour paste - that's the easiest way. Shouldn't make a difference if you gel the henna
or not.
The cloves are said to provide a slightly redder result - I haven't seen too much of a
difference with them in or out. I personally prefer not to use them in my own paste as
it irritates my scalp if I keep the paste on for the four hours plus that I prefer to get a
really deep red.
