: Hi, I'm looking for an all natural shampoo. I dont like commerical
: shampoos due to the chemicals and SLS (sodium lauyth sulfate a
: harmful foaming agent) they contain. I'm currently using Burts bees
: shampoo bar. I love the ingredients but it does'nt work that great
: in my thick waist length hair. I know it will not lather as much
: because it does'nt have SLS, but it leaves my hair really gunky.
: I've also used Little forest shampoo (www.littleforest.com great
: site to learn more about natural body care products) with gunky
: results also unless I use a half a bottle for every wash. I have
: really oily hair so I always need to shampoo. Some one please help
: before I grap for the bottle of foamy Biolage!

You may be caught in a vicious cycle. Try this: Mix a small amount of ylang-ylang
oil (it's a sebum normalizer) in jojoba oil (which is similar to sebum but doesn't get
stinky). Shampoo your hair to get the gunk out, then rub this oil into your scalp
and brush it out to the tips. That should quiet down your sebaceous glands.
