Henna and hormones?

Still would dearly love to henna my hair :) but just realized
something that may make it look weird...this is TMI so read at your
own risk...

A little over a year ago I developed an ovarian cyst, and then late
last summer started birth control for the first time ever to control
it. I've heard before that changes in hormones can alter the hair
some, and I'd say all that would be quite the change in hormones! I
was wondering if that would affect the color henna gives--would I end
up with two different shades: one on my "previous" hair and one on
whatever hair grew after the cyst came and subsequent hormone
upheavals, so I'd end up with weird two-toned hair?
