: I posted these questions on a long hair site that I visit and I
: thoght it would be fun to also post them here.
:
:
: 1. How long have you been using henna and what brand do you use?

I have been hennaing my hair for almost a year now. I use Dulhan
Mehndi powder or whatever body-quality henna I have. Sometimes Nour
henna powder for hair.

: 2. How long do you usually leave your henna on for?

At least 4 hours, usually 6 hours, depending on how much time I
have.

: 3. How often do you use henna?

Every month or so.

: 4. Do you still use a protein conditioner or protein deep
: conditioning treatment?

No. I find I don't need anything more than regular conditioners,
after shampooing.

: 5. What is your method for removing the henna from your hair? Do
you use shampoo, conditioner or just plain water? Do you wash it out
in the shower or sink?

I rinse my henna out in the shower with water, then conditioner for
the last stubborn bits.

: 6. What benefits if any do you feel you get from henna?

My hair is healthier, shiny, soft, sleek, almost frizz-free, and is
a gorgeous colour that always garners compliments.

: My answers:
: 1. I have been using henna off and on for years. I just reciently
: started to use it again and hope to continue with it.
: I used to use Rainbow brand but after trying a body grade henna I
: think I am going to stick with that.
:
: 2. I usually leave it on my head anywhere from 6hrs to overnight.
:
: 3. I like to henna ever 30-60 days. But, I do sometimes touch up
my
: roots inbetween.
:
: 4. Unsure what to do on this one. Looking forward to read
everyones
: answers.
:
: 5. In the kitchen sink works best for me. Sometimes I use shampoo.
: More often it is just water or a CO wash. I also use a ACV rinse.
:
: 6. After a henna treatment my hair is more well behaved. It
doesn't
: get as frizzy and it more shiny, conditioned and less tangly. Also
: after I have used henna for a few months I will notice my hair
gets
: stronger and I get less splits and breakage.
