: Hi,
: I just found this site while browsing the net looking for henna
: related topics, and was delighted to find a "forum on henna"!!! Have
: been trying for sometime to find replies to my queries about henna,
: and hopefully think I have come to the right place.
: To start with, I was using hair colours to cover my grey hair for a
: long time, but was never comfortable using them due the fact that
: they contained chemicals etc. However though I find henna a
wonderful
: alternative, the one main reason I used to avoid using henna was due
: to the strong henna smell that lingers even after repeated
: shampooing. It really smell's yucky and makes one self concious in a
: crowd. Secondly I find applying henna and developing a cold infection
: go hand in hand. Are there any natural ingredients that can be mixed
: with the henna to give off a pleasant smell, and combat common
colds.
: Sorry for the long query, hope some of you reply.Thanks.

I suggest adding clove powder (I add it for the color but it smells
wonderful) and tea tree or leleshwa oil (they're both terps and
broad-spectrum antimicrobials). The combination of leleshwa and lemon
tea tree smells particularly pretty.
