They are good inexpensive henna if you are careful. I have found
some boxes of Reshma (in a clear plastic) to have a lot of green dye
and some (in an opaque white plastic) to have less dye. Obviously I
would prefer they don’t have any green dye. As with all store-bought
hennas you will need to smell them to make sure that they haven’t
gone stale. And yes, some of the boxes of Reshma and Nour hennas I
have used were stale. But for the most part they are pure hennas
without other botanicals and they have good dyeing properties. I
doubt they have metallic salts in them either.
