henna and haircuts

I have found that I don't need to shampoo my hair once it's hennaed -
rinsing with hot water is enough, and doesn't strip the oil. How would a
barber react if I went for a haircut after rinsing? Should I get my hair
cut shortly after hennaing? What would she think of hair smelling like
cloves?
