Henna vs blue dye, please help!!

I coloured my hair a few months ago with a henna block from "Lush!",
and I had been using the henna blocks to dye my hair for a year or so
previously.

Now I want to dye my hair blue! I would prefer the colour to be semi-
permanent, but a friend told me I can't use other dye over henna. I
read the page about "henna-rangs" and thought using woad might work,
and it would be natural, but then found that I probably wouldn't be
able to get hold of any.

So, my question is, would this be possible? Will any other dye work,
can you recommend any products, or will I have to wait until my hair
grows out?
