Avoided on hair, or on teeth? The use of clove oil, or its main
component eugenol, as a first aid for toothache and as a preliminary
anesthetic for the teeth has been done for quite a long time. There is
some clove oil in my henna mix, since it's in the clove powder, though
my main terp is tea tree. The cloves give my scalp a little tingle. It's
also antibacterial, as are many Myrtaceae.
