Indigo fadeout

Hi,

I have read some posts that say the indigo is permanent and then some
that say that the color fades out...

I don't mind either scenario...but if it fades out...will it be yucky
like dull blue-gray or something? Basically, how does it make the
hair look if it starts to fade out?
